Abstract

The issue of developmental disorders in children remained unresolved year after year. Early detection of child growth and development was essential, particularly in early childhood education. However, this effort was still hindered by teachers’ lack of confidence in using KPSP and the lack of practical tools. Objective: To develop web-based micro-learning tools with animated videos for the early detection of child growth and development. Method: This study used a Research and Development (R&D) design with the ADDIE model at the UM Laboratory Early Childhood Education Center in Blitar City. The subjects consisted of 7 teachers. Data were collected through interviews, expert validation, and limited pilot testing. Results:User needs were identified, including manual detection practices, challenges with uncooperative children, unresponsive parents, and limited teacher knowledge. The design and development process resulted in a responsive website and an animated video lasting 6 minutes and 30 seconds. Content expert validation reached 98.6% (Highly Acceptable), while media expert validation reached 94.4% (Highly Acceptable). The teacher pilot test showed that 100% of the items were acceptable. Conclusion:The web-based micro-learning media with animated videos was considered highly suitable for the early detection of child development in early childhood education
